Product Description

In the fall of 2001, at the invitation of the State's Division of Developmental Services, advocates, physicians, private providers, State administrators, community agency representatives, and family members assembled in Concord to form the New Hampshire Task Force on Autism.  The purpose of the Task Force was to establish a vision and make recommendations to the State of New Hampshire concerning the care and treatment of individuals, both children and adults, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.  It was recognized from the start that this was no easy undertaking.  While Task Force members had strong and diverging opinions about specific treatment approaches, they agreed upon the values that should guide the provision of treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families, beginning with do no harm.
