The Feeling Book Package includes a copy of Charlie by Layne Case and Let’s Make Faces! by Gerard E. Langeler. 

In Let's Make Faces, kids can draw faces, wipe them clean, and then draw them again.  This book will help children identify various facial expressions and the feelings behind them.  The left-hand pages show what a person's face might look like while feeling a certain emotion.  The corresponding text explains each emotion, relating it to real-life situations and possible triggers.  'Talking points' encourage children to relate feelings to things that have happened in thie lives.  Finally, the child can copy the appropriate expression onto a blank face.  Copying the contours of the mouth, eyebrows, and eyes helps the child retain the details of how feelings "look" on other people.  This wonderful tool will help children identify facial expressions, develop and explain vocabulary related to emotions, and facititate important conversations between adults and children.  Great for groups, or one-on-one!

Packaged with Charlie, a children's book about a dog who can't get anything right, and runs away from home, only to find new appreciation for what he had.  The goal of this book is to help children know that other people experience similar feelings as they do. 

Together, these books will help children understand how emotions and feelings affect our choices and decisions.  This book set will provide quality time for parents and children and a fun activity that will help to generate some great conversations about feelings and emotions.  A great resource for all children, but particularly effective for children with special needs, to include but not limited to those with autism, ADD, ADHD, and behavioral issues.
