Shipping

The IOD Bookstore can ship to virtually any address in the world. Domestic as well as international orders are welcome and can be processed efficiently and securely. When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping option you choose.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Orders are generally processed within one business day of when the order was placed. Expedited shipping, including overnight and 2-day, is available only on orders placed before 10am Monday through Friday. Orders placed after 4pm or on the weekend will be processed the next business day.

Customers will receive notification via email once an order has been shipped.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Although ordinarily the customer is responsible for return shipping expenses, The IOD Bookstore will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

For security purposes, the IOD Bookstore does not store customer credit card information. If you are interested in processing a return on an order that was placed with a credit card, please contact the IOD Bookstore Coordinator in order to process the appropriate credit. Items That Cannot Be Returned Unfortunately, the IOD Bookstore is unable to accept returns for:

• Shrink-wrapped items, including CDs and DVDs that have been opened
• Gift Certificates
• Bulk orders of 6 copies or more
• Items that are no longer in their original condition 
• Items beyond 14 days from date of delivery
